My Top 3 US TV Series from the '90s
As one of 90s kids who grew up without cellphones, I spent most of my times in front of TV (guilty✌). In Indonesia, there are only few US series that aired around those times, and here are my top picks for '90s TV series that defined our childhood
1. F.R.I.E.N.D.S
This infamous 90s TV shows is a sitcom about a group of friends in New York City. Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe & Joey likes to hang out most of the time at Monica's apartment or at a coffee house : Central Perk. If offers not only comedy but also the warmness of friendships between them. Their conflict and how they resolved it with each of their unique personality somehow never cease to bore me.
Aahh one thing don't forget Rachel's hairstyle always become trend in that time. She's always the dresswell type of girl.
Where to watch if you live in Indonesia?
You could watch this best 90s sitcom on Netflix or WB channel in cable TV if you live in Indonesia. FRIENDS came in 10 seasons. I rewatch it everytime i want to and still loving it.
Back then it was aired in RCTI around after 9pm because the rating is for adults and i had to stay late if i wanted to watch this😂.
If you havent watch this series, please do (even RM of BTS learn english from this series) at least once in your life.
My favorite quote from this series would be Joey's selfless good deeds instead of Ross's we were on a break😅.

2. THE NANNY
Another 90s sitcom TV show, this one is about Ms Fran Fine who was a sales lady that accidentally become Nanny because of the right time and the right place in Mr. Maxwell Sheffield's mansion is also one my of favorite.
The Nanny offers a daily life around Ms Fine the nanny and her easy going personality plus unique voice + dress style, Mr Sheffield the broadway producer and a widower with stiff personality and well mannered englishman, Niles the buttler who lights up in the middle and always tease Ms Babcock the assosiate producer of Mr Sheffields, Maggie the 1st child of Mr Sheffields, Brighton the 2nd and Gracie the 3rd.
The relationship between them offers entertaining and funny story. How Mr Sheffield's house turn upside down after Ms Fine enter their life, the conflict, the shock culture made it hilarious to watch.
The Nanny has 6 season and MS Fine & Mr Sheffields end up together (as we expected) but the funnier story lays in earlier seasons where they had conflict and haven't realise their feeling for each other.
Where to watch if you live in Indonesia?
You could watch this classic US series legally on HITS channel on TV cable. Back then it was aired in SCTV if my memories serves me right.

This 90s US series offers a story about a team of crime scene investigators in Las Vegas Nevada who use forensic science to solve crime. I think there are several CSI series but this one is my one and only favorite, the others has a lot of drama instead of crime solving story which me don't likey.
The team led by Gil Grissom who had a expertise about bugs and quite a leadership. The member : Catherine Willows, Nick Stokes, Sara Sidle, Warrick Brown, Greg Sanders later they add David Hodges and Riley Adams. Also there are Jim Brass the police captain, Dr Robbins & David the medical examiner, Archie the IT guy.
What I like about this series is how they describe the forensic methodology (i know im a bit nerd) to solve crime and catch the culprit. How the evidence is the most important thing and ignore assumption based on feelings. Like when newbie CSI officer Holly Gribbs got shot and murdered, she struggle with the shooter to get the shooter's DNA in her nail so that the team could identify him.
You should watch this at least once in your life to get some tips just in case (hopefully you dont have to) you are in danger or someone wants to murder you (yikes) so you know what to do to have the evidence.
Where to watch if you live in Indonesia?
This series is now showing in HITS channel at Cable TV. Back then was aired in Indosiar if im not mistaken around 11pm.
